Curb-side Service

The library for faxing, photocopying and book checkout to all patrons. Patrons who wish to use curbside pick-up need to call the library beforehand and make arrangements. The service will be offered between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

To check out material, the patron must be 18 or over with a valid library card. When you call, we will need your name, a number where you can be reached, your library card number and the list of items you wish to check out. If you do not have your library card number, we will need your driver’s license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number in order to verify the account.

To select your items, access the library’s on-line card catalog at blackmur.lib.ms.us and click on the Blackmur Card Catalog link. Patrons can put together their list of books and submit it to us over the phone. Patrons can place an order of up to five items – either books or DVDs. DVDs are limited to three per patron. It would be best to give a few alternate titles as well just in case requested books are checked out.

We will then give a time window to pick the books up in the library’s parking lot. We ask patrons to open their trunks or a rear door to their vehicle where we can place their order.

To return books, patrons can use the drop off box located at the edge of the library’s parking lot. We ask DVDs not be placed in the dropbox. Please call us and arrange for us to pick them up in the parking lot.

We also offer faxing and photocopying curbside. It’s best to call before coming to the library for these services to make sure someone is available to meet you in the parking lot to get your material.

Costs for photocopies at 20¢ per page. Double sided is available.

Cost for faxing is $1 per page. If front and back of pages have to be sent, it’s $1 for each side. There is no charge for toll-free numbers – 800, 888, 877, etc.

If you have any questions about these services or want to arrange for curbside pickup, please call the library at (662)473-2444.
